Mini Tutorial: Paper Bag Curls

Hey everyone!!

Today I wanted to show you how I get bouncy, voluminous curls using a paper bag! I love this method of curling my hair because it's comfortable to sleep on and it doesn't take long. Also, using a paper bag is cheap and it's a great way to get an awesome style if you don't have curlers or flexi rods on hand. For my birthday, I decided that I wanted a full, curly look so (of course) I turned to my trusty paper bags :)

You will need to cut your paper bag into strips. Make sure that they are long enough to tie into a knot.
Also, be sure to fold each strip in half (length wise) to make them sturdy.

Okay so after you have all the strips you want to use, here is what you'll need to do:

Step 1: Section off the piece of hair that you want to curl & fold the middle of the paper bag strip near to the end of the hair.

Step 2: Hold the hair in place and begin to wrap the hair around the paper bag strip.
(the same way that you would around a normal hair curler)

Step 3: Continue wrapping the section of hair up until you reach the top. Here, tie the ends of the strip into a knot over the section of hair.

I repeated this process all over my head, tied a scarf around my head to keep them secure (they slip off of the hair easily) and went to bed! In the morning I took the paper bag strips out and this is what the curls looked like!

This is right after I took some of the strips out.

Here is the finished look! I combed through the curls a bit to get this style and I loved the results!

I hope that this was helpful! Let me know what you think :)
